Elegant phraseology, Jim. Love the ‘waxing rhapsodic’ – not enough of that about broccoli, for certain! I know the feeling of the ‘last thing they bought’ that was in the fridge, the last bar of soap or bottle of shampoo, the last damn bottle of furniture polish, every ‘last’ makes a little paper cut. But I also learnt that I can take something with me. J made me appreciate – really appreciate – spinach and beetroot and they’re both great additions to my diet (took 24 years), so I buy them and eat them and I think of him.
