JJ, Lusitania was not a ship of the Royal Navy (these are the ones with the ‘HMS’ prefix) it was RMS Lusitania, she was a liner, not a naval ship. And Germany was not fighting England. England is one of the countries which make up the United Kingdom, the UK. Saying it was England is like saying Texas entered the war in 1917 when what you mean is the USA entered the war.
